Monoi de Tahiti Body Lotion

Cape Jasmin, another type of Gardenia, grow in Thailand

I heard that Monoi de Tahiti oil smells lovely, with curiosity, I ordered it, and yes, it is - smells lovely sweet. It is a familiar scent to me, the scent of Gardenia flowers, my favorite flower I wore in my hair on my wedding day back in Thailand.

In the morning of my wedding day, the Cape Jasmin, another kind of Gardenia, my mom grew around our house, had bloomed for me to be a part of my lovely day.

Monoi oil is scented by Tiare flower, which is known as a queen of all Tahitian flowers. The Tahitian are really attached to these beautiful flowers. They wear them behind the ear as a sign of love and use in leis at celebration time. As for taking care of their skin, the Tahitian soak Tiare flower into pure coconut oil and put it on their skin for edge.

I finally came across that these queen of all Tahitian flowers also grow in Thailand. Just like their delicate beauty, they have a beautiful name inThai, Bhud-Sang-Au- Sa, which is a really beautiful name, indeed.

My Monoi de Tahiti Body Lotion

The result of soaking Tiare flowers into pure coconut oil gives the oil a lovely sweet scent, and makes it perfectly for whipping body lotion - no need to put in any extra essential oils or fragrant oils - the lotion smells lovely. I am now addicted to it.

Each time I whip only 400g. lotion and put it into a jar I snatched it from Kmart and dressed it up a little just to make me feel good using it, and finally say goodbye to lovely Sabon' s because I now have the best lotion made by me, just for me.
